This is professional photographer Ace Kvale and his dog Genghis Khan, a.k.a Desert Dawg. To celebrate his 60th birthday, Ace set off from his front door in Utah for a 60 day backpacking trip, while friends came and went joining Ace for several days at a time, Genghis was by his side for the entire trip, covering more than 400 miles.
